Our Global Network: General
At SIT, we are interested in projects that help us grow. But growing, for us, does not just mean more revenues and higher profits - rather, we see these as the means to growing in other ways, including:

Interacting with a wider range and larger number of people;
Working in more countries, with people from all nationalities;
Expanding the range of activities in the projects we offer;
Cooperating with more professionals of various skills and definitions;
Involving ourselves actively in new categories;
Creating professional partnerships through a variety of business models;
Learning new languages and experiencing a range of cultures

The SIT network helps us grow in all these ways. And as SIT grows, we are able to offer even more help to the companies we work with, as they grow as well.
SIT Ltd. was founded in Tel Aviv, and we are still based there and owned by Israelis. But over 90% of our activities are currently conducted abroad, including the work done by our two subsidiaries, in Sweden and in Germany.

Since our founding we have been committed to working internationally and to expanding the SIT network around the globe. In addition to working in 41 countries, with people from 73 nations, we are constantly engaged in conversations with friends, potential partners and allies of many kinds, in a variety of locations. In the Netherlands, we initiated an Innovation Community (www.sit-netherlands.com), and we are in advanced discussions about establishing a local presence in Singapore.

If you are interested in joining our network, or if you are struggling with the many issues involved in growing your own network, you are welcome to read on to learn more about our approach.

Why Be Global?

Two years ago, we invited our friend and consultant Chris Golden to come over from New York to help us figure out why we believe it's worth our while to spend so much time and energy creating an international network, rather than just focusing on selling projects abroad from our home base.

We knew there were some obvious advantages to the international network: it allows us to offer multinational corporations programs and support at all of their sites; we acquire business through cross referrals; our partners help us market and sell. But none of these seemed to justify the attention and resources we spent on growing the network, and they didn't really seem to capture the essence of the network's appeal to us. After a day of discussion (and some soul searching) we came up with 19 reasons the network is so valuable to us. Here are some of them:

It increases our mental "gene pool." We expand our world view through close contact with associates from different and varied cultures.
We learn from our partners - first, we learn their methods and approaches, and second, we master our own system by teaching SIT to partners from such varied backgrounds.
We enlarge and add variety to our database of case studies, stories, and examples.
We must stay on our toes in order to respond to our partners' varied requests, standards, and demands.
We gain friends in many places. No matter what hour it is and where you are located, there is always a friend awake in some time zone (not a bad thing when vacationing either).

And, of course:
A human network makes the world a better place, by promoting cross-cultural contacts and understanding.

Once we understood in clearer terms what we value and appreciate so much about the network, we knew it made sense to continue expanding it, and discussing possibilities for cooperation with clients, competitors, and innovation seekers of all kinds.
Bottom Line
The SIT Network: as it grows, we all grow.
FAQ
What is the SIT "Network"?

SIT has several different Networks, and they work in different ways:
  1. Through our international partners and franchises in Germany, Sweden, and Holland, we've created a European network that can respond locally to increasing demand in this region for SIT's services.
  2. SIT's Dutch affiliates lead the Innovation Community in the Netherlands, a network of professionals committed to promoting innovation and creativity in business, academia, and other areas of life.
  3. SIT Gateway is creating opportunities for Israeli companies in the United States. Our first Gateway project brought together leaders of the Israeli and Rochester, NY business communities.
  4. SIT's Israeli innovation community meets once a month - we invite the general public to participate and learn about innovation and creativity, and are developing a growing group of innovation enthusiasts.
SIT team members regularly publish articles about innovation in magazines and journals, thus expanding our global network of people who are interested in creativity and innovation.
