It Works: Publications & Research
Research, Reviews, and Publications

Although most of our clients never have any reason to think about SIT's connection to academe, SIT does in fact have its origins in research. Behind the scenes of our very practical work with clients, SIT's method continues to evolve through our academic affiliations. Some of SIT's team members are academic researchers who (although we like to tease them a bit about being our resident egg-heads) provide our facilitators with valuable in-depth analyses of SIT's methods - something which leads to new ideas and insights. Our facilitators (who in turn get teased as the guinea pigs in the process) provide the researchers with large amounts of data from the field.

As a result, we've developed a wide range of "literature" related to SIT - from reviews of our work in the popular press, to articles about SIT in a host of trade journals (from medicine to marketing), to academic papers on SIT-related subjects. Some of the pieces are by journalists, some are by those who've used SIT successfully in their field, some are by SIT researchers or facilitators. There are even some SIT books. The publications below are selected to provide you with an interestingly diverse range of reading about SIT. As you'll see, the pieces have appeared in several countries and languages.

Have books or articles been written about SIT?
 

As far as we know, two books have been written about the SIT method - one in Hebrew and one in English. The English one, Creativity in Product Innovation, (Goldenberg Jacob and David Mazursky. 2002, Cambridge University Press) concentrates on the application of SIT to marketing and contains a chapter about advertising. The Hebrew one, Why Didn't I Think of That Before?
(The Anatomy of Successful Products. Goldenberg, Mazursky & Solomon. 1999, The Edison Institute, TA) focuses on marketing and problem solving.
