Martin Rabinowich
Let's face it, if you have managed to get this far down the list without skipping too many bios – and weren't just singling me out – you deserve praise for perseverance.  It's really not that interesting to read the short bios of people you have never met. On the other hand, it's not so easy to summarize yourself for others in a couple of lines and say something worth reading. But, here goes:
SIT International Marketing Manager. Graduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering, M.Sc. in Organizational Development (Sheffield). Worked in the fields of ergonomics, industrial engineering, and organization development in a number of companies including British Steel and Philips. Experienced in marketing computer services.

Shiri Yardeni
My talents are many – probably modesty isn't one of them. Much of the time at SIT I seem to be covering several overlapping functions. It doesn't all fit into a nice neat title. So if you are contacting SIT on coordinating projects, planning touristic visits to Israel, web research, SIT's office design or photography - somehow you might get to me. I have a B.A. in Psychology and Communication from Tel Aviv University and take pride on being a semi-professional baker and totally non-professional circus contortionist.

FAQ
What sort of backgrounds do SIT facilitators come from?

SIT's facilitators come from a wide range of backgrounds, personally and professionally.
Our diversity helps us to tailor the SIT method to the many different industries we work with - from banking to tourism to food to software - and to the many types of projects we offer.
As you can see from our team profiles, SIT facilitators have experience (and degrees) in many fields, including literature, production, communications, industrial design, organizational behavior, advertising, computer hardware and software, and ergonomics.
What sort of training do SIT facilitators undergo?

The SIT training process takes around 18 months, and includes 4 major segments:

SIT theory and method.
Facilitation techniques.
Practicum.
Project management.

New facilitators begin with a non-consecutive 12-day course; in between course days, trainees work on various assignments designed to enhance their coursework.
The next stages consist of on-the-job coaching and training: first, the new facilitator observes projects led by others (2-5 days each), then he or she works as an assistant to a more experienced facilitator. Only when the trainee has successfully assisted in several projects, and feels comfortable with the idea of leading, does he or she take responsibility for a project. This process usually takes a good part of a year to complete.
In addition, all trainers participate in monthly half-day training sessions, and four additional workshop days, each year.
